Got 4 things on my list this year.

1: Get my Cube started in January
2: Replace my Barbs in the 5 foot with some nice Angels
3: Redo my 5 foot with flourite and a major rescape
4: Replace my Hood with an open top setup for the 5 foot

    Well that's the plan anyway.

I am planning to build a tank stand for a few tanks in the garage. This will be a closed system with one large shared filter. I would also like to incorporate this system into an aquaponics system if time allows.

I am also gonna build or buy a new tank. Thinking of maybe a 100cm or so with sump or canister. Maybe some angels.
Belated Merry Christmas to all and a happy new year. Hope all our ventures go well!

Don't know where, but I'm going to get myself some Albino Angels, and some high orange Angels. What the heck, while I'm dreaming, I'm going to get some Altums and those fluorescent pink Taiwanese Angels as well.

My 400l tank will hopefully be delivered soon in the new year; going to scape it with driftwood and low-light plants and move my growing discus in there; then have to think what I'll do with the 115l growout tank; plus hopefully picking up a 100l or so corner tank from a friend - need to decide where I'm going to put assorted fish from my small tank. They are currently living in a bucket after my other half accidentally punched out the front pane in the middle of the night...

    My take on 2013?

There will be some consolidation in the wholesale market - some of the smaller/garage guys will most probably fall away/bigger guys taking over their product lines.

Tank wise - i want to plant some lotuses in big pots in the garden. I might have to put some swords or guppies in the pots to eat the mossie larva

Nano tank was marine. charge to freshwater plants with ADA, and was MH to LED

Rainbow/clown loach tank, update fine gravel (brown/red/dark brown)and led lighting.

Bad news: No money go building tank big Clown Loach, black arowana and stingray.might delay to 2014 or 2015 :(

Yeap not to mention gray imports will increase should the R$ become more favorable and things like walmart they are big in pet stuff even our local takealot have tetra and these guys are a pleasure to deal with ... product is commodity (you become a logistics officer) value add lies in livestock (plants / fish) and local content.

All-in-all I want to increase my CO2 footprint - planted tanks love that.

    Later Ferdie

Henk - could well be .. I know the amazon thing bit them a bit, but the current model seems sound form the outside, hence 2013 will be very interesting.

Will be setting up a 4ft tank that i want to make planted. the tank will be layered in black substrate... CO2 will be my main check mark on this as i have a old bottle and ordered a diffuser.... just need to buy regulator when i have saved up after the tank buy...

looks like im gonna be cutting down a bit to focus more on my big tank project. currently running 7 tanks, was looking at guppy breeding project but doesn't look like i have what it takes. will be selling my smaller tanks and keeping my 700L as my main tank and 3foot as my hospital planted setup. lookout for some bargains on those small tanks in the new year

@Ammar. Don't be put off by the price of aquaria if you decide to breed guppies. I keep 6 strains, with their offspring, and none of them has ever been in glass tanks. Westpack at Lifestyle near you has a nice range of translucent plastic containers that are perfect. Their 70L clear dustbins are worthwhile looking at, and if you want to see them working, just visit me. Plastic also seems not to lose as much heat as glass. Maybe you should also reconsider selling your smaller tanks. You can never have enough!
