The Problem with swopping them around is if you get fish sucked into the sump, they will not survive and even if they did, due to space you would...

@neltf, That is the best design you can have for a sump. The Prof explains why in the above mentioned thread. less clogging and maximum flow rate....
Also used that kit but with citric acid and bicarb.... Much better than the yeast method because you can use a solenoid and you get much higher...

The sand from pool filters should not be used in tanks since it contains high amounts of chlorine and other chemicals. Makes a good bunker thou :)
