That's what I have heard.
I would imagine they are quite fragile. A small group in a species only tank. And prob need a constant supply of live food - daphnia etc.
Some of the bigger gouramis are also an option (three spot, snake skin) Was looking at a photo of my old set up and had forgotten I had those too...
