Wanted: Polypterus

Guys anyone seen some nice polys in gauteng? Pta area

 

Not pretoria, but lots in joburg, primarily sens and hybrids, you don't see dels, endlis or ornates anymore, but the lfs label the hybrids anything they like

 

Im actually looking for end or ornates. Got me two senegalus and i want more haha

 

Endli's you may still find very occasionally, ornates I haven't seen in a very long time, the one I bought some time ago, also ended up being a hybrid of sorts.
The endli in my profile pick is one of two I've now had for a couple of years, both are close to 40cm, downside is they ate my two albino sens.
I'm always amazed by the variety of pure strains available in the US and Japan, lots of wild caught as well, here we live in the continent of origin and we import hybrids from Asia...

 

Uhrg it always the fish you want that you cant get. I wanted to get pea puffers couldnt find for 3 months. Now growing out the senegalis, now i know were ti get puffers. Now not able to finfmd the bichirs i want.
